I think this is a good decision. England LOVES the revenue the airports brings in considering its BILLIONS of pounds.
The noise issue, well if want the good (the money) they will have to accept some of the bad (the noise) you can't have it BOTH ways folks so suck it up and stop your whinny ways!

The problem is the noise now. They have a premier airport at 2/3rds capacity because of the whiners. Why will this be any different?
