Boeing sues suppliers over liquid that damaged first Air Force tanker

Übermittelt

Boeing is suing two California companies it claims supplied a mislabeled chemical that caused severe damage to the refueling system of its first Air Force KC-46 refueling tanker and delayed its first flight in 2015 by a month. The suit, filed Friday in federal court in Santa Ana, Calif., seeks $10 million or more from Able Aerospace Adhesives of Valencia, California, and AlfaKleen Chemical Labs of Costa Mesa, California. The way it should be done make the one who caused the problem fix it. Think that with the new prez in there will be more things like this to come with government contracts involved.
Let the tsxpayer foot the bill years are gone now.

According to your logic -- "make the one who caused the problem fix it" -- Boeing is supposed to sit back and let the folks at Able Adhesives and AlfaKleen Chemical Labs repair the damage caused by their product. Really? How would these chemical producers possibly know how to repair a complex aircraft system?

And what in the world does this have to do with the "new prez"? This is between Boeing and their suppliers.

Agree. These type of things take time to decipher, find fault, administrate, etc. Maybe years.
Boeing isn't going to park the ac while waiting for an inept third party to provide a solution. Meanwhile the AF is screaming bloody murder.

Like the taxpayer gets the "fines" imposed by the GAO on Boeing back - they just send Uncle Sam an even bigger bogus bill - it's called Government backdoor financing.
