Aerospatiale Concorde (G-BOAD) - I took this photo in the Fall of 2005 as it is on display dockside opposite the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier on the west side of Manhattan. These SSTs have been retired for a number of years now but at this site the public is welcome to come on board for a quick inspection of the Aircraft. It was capable of an Atlantic Crossing in about 90 minutes but in later years proved to be to costly to operate and competition from newer type of large passenger jets and finally an unfortunate accident in France doomed this marvelous piece of technology to the ground. Orville and WIlbur would of been amazed !
