With the 2019 National Championship Air Races / Reno Air Races event blasting off tomorrow (Sat., September 7th) for the next nine days, this is a good time to look back at one more scene from last year's event.

Beginning at dawn tomorrow, the very best week (actually, nine days) of air action in northern Nevada gets underway. At dawn, the hot air balloon launch in the city. Next, at midmorning, a WWII bomber is open for tours and flights at KMEV. By noon, more USN visitors to RNO. And then, at 2 PM, the Reno Air Races Racing Planes Show 'n Shine, parade, and flyover at RTS. And, except for the bomber tour and flights at Minden, admission to all the events is absolutely free. All eyes will be toward the skies tomorrow.
RAR is a real hoot -- if you're into aviation, you owe it to yourself and your children to enjoy this airshow at least once.
