There was one 5-unit plow team, one 3-unit team, and one 2-unit team working various areas of the airport. As Plow One and Company worked the parallel runways and the various exit/entry taxiways, Plow 6 and Company worked the cargo area apron and the November deicing pad and the remaining team worked the terminal alley and the Southwest Airlines apron. For a couple of hours, Runways 16L-34R and 7-25 were closed so that crews could focus on the continuing battle to clear the ice that kept forming as freezing rain came down and ... simultaneously ... an extremely thick freezing fog settled in, but when the freezing rain stopped the teams were rapidly able to reopen the entire system of runways, taxiways, and terminal ramps.

Hi, Darryl. TYVM and a wave. Alien .... Wassup? Dang right I went out there. (Grin) I never miss a chance to get some lousy weather snaps. No "fair weather only" blood in this 70 year old man's veins. lol The camera can be made to work in [almost] any conditions -- EXCEPT (as I discovered just last week) in super heavy fog at 5 AM at the end of a runway. (Shrugging shoulders)
