BOEING 767-200 (N225AX) - OAE's N225AX has just gone airborne from 16R to begin a flight to Detroit Metro Wayne County (KDTW).br /A rather unusual event (for our airport) is occurring here as this Omni Air B762 is lifting away from 16R --- due to the angle of the engine as the jet rotated away, a very small over-the-wing condensation vortex swirl formed. (You have to look quite closely to see it - that's how very small it is. It's just above the starboard engine. Grin -- See? I told you it is small. lol) The reason it is unusual is because the moisture level here in northern Nevada is usually so low (dry desert air) that condensation vortices are quite rare. However, thanks to the recent snowfall that took place a couple of days ago, there was enough moisture in the air that this tiny vortex trail formed (very briefly) as the Boeing came away from the runway.

Super snap of this oldie but goodie Gary! Don't get too many passenger B762's so congrats on this capture! All 5 for sure but deserves more! Well done my friend!
