Boeing 737-800 (N915NN)
With the sun almost directly overhead and the air temperature in triple digits, the only way to get a clear snap was to get as close as possible. The heat coming up off the open taxiway was well over 105, but positioning on Alpha taxiway seemed to be my best option and it turned out to be the best spot because AAL's N915NN touched down on runway 16R directly in front of me. Ahhh, the wonderful aroma of burning rubber! lol

My most sincere Thanks to those who made it possible for me to get "elevated" off the ground for a more (let's just refer to it as a) "cherry pickin'" photo angle (lol). Not only did it make the shot more "wing height level," but it also helped get me a bit above all those intense heat waves rising up from the taxiway surface. Very much obliged. :)

Honestly, American should just go with this look as their fleet standard. SOOOO much better than the dreadful piano keys-on-the-tail/psychadelic LSD trip "flag" they have now.

Joan, I'm not sure what you requested or from whom, but this picture is of a Boeing 737-823, or an 800 series 737. The ICAO code for it is B738. It is a four character code. They drop the last 7 and add the 8 from the series number. So, this becomes a B (for Boeing) 738.
