Thanks for sharing this beautiful photo. Every time I see a new photo of a Corsair I save it as a new one for my screensaver on my computer. We lost our father in the Korean Conflict. He was an F4U Corsair pilot who flew off the USS Princeton (CV37) with VF152.

Lee, thank you for sharing your father's connection to the proud story of the F4U Corsair. I am deeply touched that you are using this pic as a screen saver.

This great plane wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for the courage & devotion to duty exhibited by the Naval/Marine Aviators that flew her.

Over the years your dad is once again with most of his squadron mates. Lee, it is wonderful how your family has honored your father over 7 decades. He is still with the family.

Lee Respect for your Dad..

And if you like Corsairs (and I do) keep an eye out for the upcoming movie "Devotion." Based on the book of the same name about the first African American Naval Aviator and Corsairs in the Korean War. I believe it is due out in November. Check the trailer here:

Greg........

I look forward to that movie...sounds like a winner.

This is a remote-controlled model surely, not the real McCoy. That pilot looks waaay too small to be a real person. They weren't that big an aircraft! I've seen pics of Corsairs before and the pilot in those is much bigger and just about fills that bubble canopy. See this pic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vought_F4U_Corsair#/media/File:Vought_F4U_Corsair_(USMC).jpg

Alan Hume, How many RC models have the pilot's name under the cockpit?...Are you saying this is not a real Corsair?
ken kemperPhoto Uploader
No Alan.....

This is a real pic of a real Corsair. I'm not even "in to" RC aircraft. Same with trains...I only liked the real ones and models didn't really interest me.
