A small plane flipped upside down while waiting to take off from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, according to a federal official.

The single-engine Cessna 182 flipped around 9:25 a.m. on the northern end of the airport runway, a spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration said in an email.

Two people were on board the plane at the time. Joe Rajchel, a spokesman for the airport, said they were checked medically on scene and were not transported for any further care.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the incident.

No operations at the airport have been affected, Rajchel said.
