Delta pilot didn't recall instructions before NYC airport ground collision, NTSB report says

The captain of one of the Delta Air Lines regional jets that collided at the intersection of two taxiways at LaGuardia Airport in New York last month told investigators he did not recall hearing instructions to give way to the other plane, according to a preliminary report Thursday from the National Transportation Safety Board. And it is not any better today... I used to work for Piedmont and was at work the day this happened! Thankfully, I was not in EWR that day, but word really traveled fast! Everyone was affected as were were a family! Knew many of the crews by their first names! Those were the days and sadly they will never return to us!

While corrected in the first line of the article, the headline is wrong. It was NOT a Delta pilot.

As much as these things happen, it is no real surprise that there is not more of this type of Ground Collision. At Least it happened on the Ground and not in the Air!
