Don't be surprised if the current culture of WestJet disappears along with the name creating an opening for a new low cost airline between major points. Just because you own an airline doesn't mean you can run it...as proven many times before.

Sure hope it doesn't affect service and cost. I prefer Westjet over Air Canada but if the cost to travel goes up, there goes my loyalty!!

As long as they don't start adding Airbus's to Westjet's fleet I don't mind. Those things are worse than the MAX.

ONEX will look at the Canadian Airbus if any of them especially if they can get YTZ opened up for jet traffic.
