The a/c appears to be the Project Orbis Flying Eye Hospital in lieu of a cargo flight. The picture in the article is a correct representation of the aircraft as per the stipulated registration.
It was the Orbis a/c and I believe, for some reason, they are referred to as cargo craft due to not carrying passengers...I believe the GFH Boeing 747 is also stipulated as a cargo craft.

Maybe they had "rookie" pilots aboard or flipped the wrong comms switch. Happens more often than you think! A pair of fighters usually wakes them up. You see this about once a month now............
