Boeing 737 program manager to retire amid crisis over jet's grounding: memo
Boeing's 737 jet program manager, Eric Lindblad, will retire in a matter of weeks after roughly 12 months on the job, according to a company memo seen by Reuters on Thursday. wrong damn guy; go up the ladder several more levels, stopping to inform each of them tis time to go.
The problems started way before Linblads tenure. And they started a lot higher in the food chain.
Some of those engineers had to know that this design was garbage.
Whether he deserves a share of the blame or is just a scapegoat, he is far from the last of the heads to roll. Let's hope it reaches to the very top of the food chain.
He's retiring, not fired. And this was planned.
"You can't fire me, I'm retiring." Most people can see the writing on the wall, especially when it's written in the blood of 346 people.
But the 'higher ups' always try to blame the 'little people' to save their asses. I'm sure if the Max fraud had anything to do with his leaving, it was more an act of 'You ain't blaming this crap on me! I'm outta here!!!'
Right, especially when considering that he was in this job for only 12 months.
