Lockheed P-2 Neptune (N96278)
Tanker 05 departing out to bomb the pioneer fire. This is the last season for the P2V's. Going to miss them
Comments
very nice
Thanks for sharing.
I hope someone returns them to Mil Spec and preserves them
A tired old tanker.......if it weren't for forest fires, Neptune would be not be in business. If it were not for the military, companies like Neptune would not be in business because they would not have airplanes to fly.
I flew for Neptune for 5 years, seasonal pilot. Those P2's are maintenance hogs. On average they have 30,000+ plus hours, and the R 3350's are hard to find parts for.
Nice photo!
