This the the new F-16 Block 70. It is “the most advanced 4th generation fighter ever built” and brings a new level of capability to air forces around the world, according to Lockheed's website.

Wow.

I am obviously not a pilot so it is always astounding to me that one person can fly one of theses planes solo

The conformal tanks don't look too bad on that one.

So I suppose this is one of the planes that replaced the F-16s Poland sent to Ukraine...

Breath easy Arthur Shulman, “the most advanced 4th generation fighter ever built” has an amazing amount of computing power onboard helping its pilot keep up with on-board systems and their status. Technically, the plane could be set up to fly itself, but we need the pilots for their experience and judgment. As a wise NASA engineer once said, "You have to machine rate the man, AND man rate the machine." This means teaching the crew what they need to know and do to get the best performance from the machine, while also building a machine that a well trained crew can effectively manage while extracting peak performance.
