Great find and snap, Peter.
Does Mr. Roundy still have those two Starliners at KLEW? I saw them a long, long, LONG time ago when I was stationed at Loring. I think I read somewhere that he had disposed of both of them a few years ago.
I know a guy who will enjoy seeing this click. His dad was a pilot for Northeast.
TYVM for sharing this.

Gary Schenauer, that looks very like a Starliner behind the DC-3 in the photo. If it really was taken just over a day ago, there's part of your answer.

Mr. Roundy sold all 3 Starliners to Lufthansa several years ago.
Parts of 2 are being used to help restore the third one, it's nearing first flight.
Of the two remaining, last I heard one will be restored as a display aircraft locally, the other was in Florida at Kermit Weeks museum and will remain there.
The restored airworthy Starliner will go to Germany as part of Lufthansa's flying collection of historic company aircraft.
A Google search for Lufthansa Starliners should provide more info.

Photo was actually taken before Mr. Roundy sold the Connies and then was charged with fraud and theft and sent back to Club Fed. I have quite a number of photo's of the Connies including one with all four engines running.

One of the Connies was former Alaska Airlines. Dad had a pic of me at two years old sitting in the captain's seat.

@ Bill Bailey I visited Mr. Roundy at Orlando Sanford some 12 years ago while working on the 1649 that sometime later was flown to Kermitt Weeks Museum. The only Starlliner being reconstructed to full airworthiness status is at LH shops in Germany. To the best of my acknowledge none was flown accross the pond, all were sent by vessel.

It is specific to Lufthansa's Starliner restoration project.
