Airbus A319 (N329NV)
Taxiing to the terminal to complete a midafternoon arrival from KLAS. AAY has now completely discontinued using MD80s on its routes to Reno so a sight that was very frequent a year ago - an Allegiant MD landing, taxiing, on the ramp and departing, is now just a memory.

The fresh livery paint on AAY's small Bus here is a tremendous improvement over the shabby, faded, and peeling paint on most of Allegiant's aged MD fleetbirds, but the Mad Dogs are rapidly disappearing from the AAY fleet inventory and I'm going to miss hearing their thunderous departures. "Once upon a time," Reno Air's Mad Dogs could be seen everywhere around the RNO terminal, but now that AAY (the last commercial airline to fly MD80s here) is using Airbus frames, and except for the once-a-month "Con Air" Mad Dog flight and a couple of infrequent visits by cargo line Dogs, the "Days of the Dogs" has officially come to a close at RNO and a chapter of KRNO history has ended.
