Awesome Shot!
Super photo.
Royal Netherlands Air Force RNLAF KDC-10 at Eindhoven Airport. The two KDC-10s have been sold to Omega Air in San Antonio TX. The other aircraft, T264, was transferred last year and this one will be delivered this year.
KC-10
What a beautiful airplane!! I can only wish they were still operating. I will never forget the incredible, beautiful grinding sound this awesome bird makes when taking off! Love this plane!
One of my favorite aircraft to fly in. The sound of those engines on takeoff was something I never forget.
I used to work near the Douglas factory in Long Beach while they were still building the DC10 and MD11. The sound of those engines on takeoff was surprisingly quiet. I just heard a whirr or a buzzing. It was never deafening. When a 727 took off from the Long Beach airport, my windows would just about shake out of their casing!
