There is no mistaking when our local Seabee flies by. Its sound is distinctive.
Its speed is distinctive, also!
One older pilot landed at Laconia, NH, airport. He complained about the cost of replacing the bronze strip along the bottom. But the cost would have been unnecessary, had he lowered the landing gear!

Perhaps not the most attractive but I always thought this must have been one hell of a fun plane.
It’s a pretty good airplane as opposed to a Great airplane. It as the in production lo g enough to tweak the design and fully develop its potential. We had. Super Seabee and it was a lot of fun.
Great picture. The old SeaBee's killed a lot of pilots in Alaska, although you would think they would have been perfect for there. At the same time I liked their looks as a kid. To me this one is a very good looking aircraft, from this angle at least.
@ John Yarno, Sorry you think the "Seabee"killed "a lot of pilots", but in fact the plane did what they were told to do! There's old pilots,and Bold pilots, but NO "OLD-BOLD PILOTS"! I've always remembered that, and is why I'm still here!! Stay Safe.
