Submitted
Earlier this week, the 747 SuperTanker dropped fire retardant on the deadly flames north of San Francisco. The craft can hold up to about 20,000 gallons of water or retardant. The large, modified Boeing plane operated by Global SuperTanker Services made six flights on Monday in an attempt to quell the raging inferno. As of Wednesday, the massive fires had burned 160,000 acres. (www.yahoo.com) More...New "Experimental" aircraft - N6762U

Hawaii transportation officials released video Tuesday of a California teen hopping from a jet's wheel well April 20 after stowing away for a 5½-hour flight. The video, which can be seen here http://bit.ly/1niSvlb , largely confirms previous accounts given by FBI and airport officials of Yahya Abdi's seemingly unbelievable story — that he ran away from home, hopped a fence at Mineta San Jose International Airport and climbed into the wheel well of the closest plane. So Matt Lauer tours the tower at JFK and of course has got to try and create panic and havoc. This thing they call "paper" (on top of being destructive to trees) is so arcane. Of course, he does not take into consideration that it WORKS. It works when the power is out, it works when there is a new computer virus and it works in just about every imaginable contingency...bah...but...there HAS to be a better more modern way that puts us totally dependent on fail-able machines (airlines.org) More...Okay, who had the chili?
