Lockheed F-16 Fighting Falcon —

The four primary Thunderbirds are seen here, just taking off in tight formation to start their performance at the 2022 Sun N Fun air show in Lakeland Florida. I find it fascinating how the commander is the only one watching where they are going and the other three pilots are simply concentrating on the aircraft next to them. In the background you can see two parked Thunderbirds. I have to assume those are numbers 7 and 8, as 5 and 6 were taxiing the runway as 1-4 were taking off. I shot this with my Canon 100-400 IS II lens at the focal length of 248mm. Camera settings were 1/8000 shutter F 5, ISO 800. Please check out my other aviation photography.
