Knowing what I know now about the Americans not sharing vital info with their allies about the similarities of the Ethiopian crash with Lion air I can well understand why Ethiopian Airlines does not trust them.
Are you aware that the US authorities got raw data of the flight on Monday morning, March eleven from Aireon and did not share them with Canada, even though there were at least three high level contacts per day on this matter? Canada asked several times if there was any info the Americans might have and the Canadians didn’t.
When Canada finally got the same raw data directly from Aireon on Wednesday morning around 6 am it took them only a few hours to see the similarities of the two flight patterns and by 10 am they were ready to ground the 787Max. Only later did the USA ground the aircraft, and the only offered lame excuses why they did not share the info they had.
And of course you know that there were American observers present when BEA worked on the black boxes.

I am sorry for the lives of people who were suddenly cutoff.
