Übermittelt

The final round of DARPA’s AlphaDogfight Trial is complete, and once again, the winning AI pilot celebrated its victory against a field of virtual contenders by going on to defeat a human F-16 pilot. An AI pilot developed by Heron Systems won the shootout, defeating a fellow AI from Lockheed. Sim-to-Sim training for a deep-learning tool (fighter-pilot in this case) largely against other AI tools, has some fundamental errors built into the process. The "superhuman" aiming skill of high-speed computers and the fragility of bags of protoplasm at high Gs mask the mathematical fallacies baked into training an AI with an AI. Anyway, how much longer are serious aerial weapons going to depend on flinging ballistic projectiles at each other?

Would be expected due to the fact no pilot no high g problems which limit most fighter aircraft.
