Pilot Shortage Hinders American Airlines' Expansion Plans

Übermittelt

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Despite efforts to ramp up pilot training, the availability of pilots remains a constraint for American Airlines' expansion plans. The airline intends to bolster its active fleet with 32 large jets and recruit roughly 2,000 pilots in 2023, according to a recent announcement by company executives. (www.airlinerwatch.com) Mehr...

Screw the airlines. All of them. They all took a very short sighted approach at the beginning of the pandemic with a view for only short term profit rather than long term outcomes, and gutted their pilot ranks. Now they are paying the price. I for one, and probably the only one, think there is some wisdom to a return of some level of regulation. Clearly airline management are irresponsible.

Good grief people! you are now correcting grammar from articles posted on this site?I might add to the english teachers posting, look up the usage of the words "has stated"in the context of the sentence and you will find this is correct.By saying "has stated",the statement is time framed to be current,as opposed to just saying "stated",indicating a past tense.shall we go on to aviation news now?

"The company's CEO, Doug Isom, has stated..."

Might want to get a proofreader (editor) for the people who write the articles at airlinerwatch!

It would appear that proper English grammar is no longer taught in any part of the American education system.
