Mooney attempts emergency landing and fails

My wife would never be a pilot she can’t put gas in the car. She called me one time when she ran out to tell me its Fords fault the cars MFD said she had 3 miles till E. I told her she was a dumb a** and that it was her fault that she had money to buy gas and I would guess 100K in credit cards she just didn’t stop. I was in the dog house for a month on that one.
The one that get me are the guys that have gas in one tank run the other dry then tell the NTSB they did the check list Humm? Then why you crash due to fuel starvation? fuel sel is on the right tank that’s dry why not the left that ½ full or the off.
