Anyone could fly around the world when they have a babysitter and an airplane that has long legs even before the extended tanks.
A real story is the 19 year old doing it now solo in a Bonanza!!!

No, the real story was that Amelia and all those long-gone fliers did not have as reliable equipment as today's, navigation was done with quite crude and unreliable ADFs, perhaps sextants were on board but uselss if cloud coverage an issue. A totally different world.

Still a great journey by a wonderful woman. The original Amelia Earhart disappearance still remains one of the world's great mysteries. As far as the 19 year old, best to him as well. I am sure an 18 yr old then a 17 yr old and all the way down the line will break his feat.
