EgyptAir Flight 804: Cockpit voice recorder found damaged

The cockpit voice recorder from EgyptAir Flight 804 has been found damaged, the Egyptian investigative committee said Thursday in a statement. The memory unit "which is the most important part of the recorder" was retrieved, the statement said. (www.cnn.com) Mehr...

Why again was it that on the weekend of such unrest with the TSA...somehow an Airbus finds the past and future flight schedule of a 737-800? Seems I am the only one missing something here.

If it provides good information, it should help more in the investigation than the FDR. Still it would be very helpful to recover the FDR also.
